I had the chance to join the wackiest bunch of people for a retreat at Tanah Aina – Farrah Soraya in Raub Pahang. I have heard of Tanah Aina for quite a while before and from its website I know it would be an awesome place for a retreat. The site is about 1.3km off the main road to Raub. The fun starts as we boarded the lorry with makeshift wooden seats. The bumpy dirt road made us jump off our seats. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sound of crickets, birds and water flowing down the river. Just music to my ears.
If you love nature, Tanah Aina would be the best place to dwell. The cold river is just fantastic and not to mention the durian trees all around. There were a lot of activities lined up for us. We had the chance to go trekking to the waterfall and watch the sun rise the next morning.
The river here is full of kelah/empurau or also known as masheer. This protected species can only be seen in crystal clear waters. So you can imagine how clean the river is. 3 days seemed so short. It is a great pleasure to be here. Thank you to Tanah Aina and the marshalls for hosting us.
As I’ve said before, the view from the top of the hill was simply magnifique! Adios!!
mendamaikan.
saya berangan hendak ke sini jua…
