A brief trip to Teluk Chempedak, Kuantan.
How did I ended up here? Airin said “Papa pergilah Teluk Chempedak, tempat dia cantik…banyak gambo papa boleh ambik”.
A long story short, I went to Kuantan, Pahang for a couple of days to see the kids. Its been a while since the last time I’ve met them. They were so eager to see me, knowing that I’ve made plan to go there. They couldn’t stop calling me asking when will I fetch them. After checking into our hotel, we went to McDonalds, where Khalish had his Happy Meal (for the toys actually). A trip to the bookstore and then straight back to hotel. And what’s more for the kids other than spending time in the pool.
We went for dinner at Satay Zul (famous in Kuantan) later that night. Disappointing is the only word I can say. It was not what it used to be.
Next day we had a quick breakfast before dipping ourselves back into the pool again. We stop after a couple of hours and went back to the room. After a quick rinse off, the kids asked for a Maggi-in-a-cup which we had bought earlier. Must have been famished after spending time in the pool. At 12 we checked out and went to Teluk Chempedak. They insisted me to go to the beach, saying it will be fun there. Khalish caught a baby crab, put onto his hand and showed it to me.

Sending them home was truly a heartbreaking moment for me. Airin just couldn’t stop crying while Khalish just stood there quietly, sinking into his feeling (a big guy for a 6 years old) . It was just too sad leave them like that. Words just can’t make it. But things are meant to be and we have to live with it. For the path that have been chosen, all I can do is to live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air…no matter how bitter things are.
A lonely drive back home without Min by my side.
