We arrived early to capture the enchanting morning light and had the pleasure of meeting CJ Chen, a delightful and amiable individual who holds the position of Project Director Merdeka 118 at Turner International Malaysia. A quick Google search of CJ Chen would reveal that he played a pivotal role in overseeing the construction of Taipei 101 and the Burj Khalifa, both of which rank among the world’s top five tallest buildings.
Hochtief AG, a German construction company based in Essen, has made a formal request to feature portraits of CJ in their corporate magazine and has entrusted us with that responsibility.
The session was truly captivating, offering us a unique opportunity to delve deep into the intricate details of Merdeka 118, thanks to CJ’s extensive knowledge. As we listened intently to CJ’s account of his experiences and insights into the project’s background, we couldn’t help but be enthralled by the fascinating journey that Merdeka 118 had undertaken.
Our session with CJ was a truly enlightening experience, providing us with a profound understanding of the challenges and accomplishments associated with Merdeka 118. It left us with a newfound appreciation for the construction industry’s complexities and a deep sense of inspiration. The session stretched on for almost two hours, and as we made our way back home, we were filled with a sense of wonder and sheer delight from our time spent at the world’s second-tallest building and structure.
